WCS Community Events

…Building a community school with, the community for the community in the community.

Welcome! This self-paced webinar helps you learn about The Wright Community School (WCS) anytime, anywhere.

The Wright Community School is a 6th–12th grade charter school approved by the State Charter Schools Commission of Georgia. We are open to all middle and high school students in Clayton, DeKalb, and Henry Counties.

WCS is a post-secondary exploration school, which means students get support to learn who they are, explore careers, and plan for life after high school. Our mission is to help students grow, explore, and excel — “The Wright Way.”

What you will learn in this webinar

  • What WCS is and who we serve

  • Our mission, vision, and values (our “Compass”)

  • How we help students feel supported and successful

The WRIGHT Culture
We build a strong, caring community. We use restorative practices to help students learn from mistakes, fix problems, and build healthy relationships.

The WRIGHT Path
Students learn at their own pace with mastery-based learning. They also get choices like support time, enrichment, AP, career classes, and dual enrollment options.

The WRIGHT Village
Every student has an advisor and mentor for steady support. We help students with school and life skills, and we support teachers with coaching too.
